Seeing this car for sale really annoyed me.
But let's start at the beginning. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! was recently featured in a TV show called Samochód Marze - Kup i Zrób (transl. Dream Car - Buy and Fix Up) that's a bit of a mix between Wheeler Dealers and Pimp My Ride. The idea is that they invite people who own rare, interesting, or iconic cars that are in a moderate state of disrepair and fix them up for them, while showing the viewers how to take care of certain repairs within a reasonable budget.
The Mazda in question appeared on the show with extremely tired and slightly rusty bodywork (with bits of trim missing), a broken clutch, worn out suspension, loud wheel bearings, ancient tyres, awful alloy rims, and a broken sunroof. By the end of it, the bodywork had been brought back, the clutch mended, the suspension fixed, the bearings changed, the alloys refurbished, the tyres replaced, and the sunroof repaired. According to the host/mechanic, the sunroof was a job complicated and long enough to fill a whole episode by itself.
And now, a very short time after the episode aired, the car is up for sale on an auction site for the price of 14 900 z ($4800, 3550 EUR). According to the ad, the car has only done 1500 km (less than 1000 miles) since the restoration. I can't help but think that the Mazda's owner abused the system and saw the show as a way to make a quick buck by turning around a tired banger without having to invest his money in it. I'm sorry for the people who had their beloved cars turned away because this arse took one of the few available spots.

I don't care how it got to be for sale. All I know is that it's an FC RX-7 with a video-documented maintenance record and is less than $5k.
I want it.

That car is worth much more than that though.
Atleast where I live. Especially with recorded Maintenance like that.

I agree. That is not proper. There is always 1 to take advantage of the situation.

You have a great grasp of the English Language, my fellow Oppo. Did not know you were Polish. (I am, but removed by several generations).

Thanks. :]
My English is OK as long as I don't have to speak. That's when my terrible accent ruins any sort of good impression.

Aww. If you didn't live with grandma you could have anything. The possibilities are endless!

If I didn't live with grandma I'd have no roof over my head.
And she would have to pay someone to help her out.
